family.

This time of year the families flood in for pictures, and it so wonderful to see the unity and love that is shared among them all.  It is high stress sometimes to get everyone ready and out the door, and I can see the panic on the faces of the mom and dad when they arrive…but, soon that all melts away and we really do have so much fun together.

I know I have not been posting as much as I would like to, but that will now all change. I am getting caught up and will be posting more family sessions this week, along with some craft inspiration. I think it is the cold weather but I get on a roll and cannot stop creating and craftin’ away! I have been making a few things for Christmas gifts and some decorations for my home. Things that I have, or are very inexpensive! I will also do some Christmas inspirational posts to hopefully give you all some ideas from other creative peeps out there! SOON to come!

Also this winter as things slow down for me a bit I hope to do some more personal posts, to get real so to speak. Maybe I will even post some of MY family pictures that I will be taking here soon.

SO, now on to this post. I had the great privilege of photographing the “G” family again this year. This year they brought their two grandchildren with them, and it made the photo shoot even more fun.  They were so fun to watch all together, they brought the silly side out of their grandparents. :)

chris&kim

This was such an incredible wedding for me to capture. Chris and I go way back, back to the days of slurpee runs and careless bored days as “kids’. ha!  I was thrilled to be able to capture this wonderful day, Chris and Kim together are just perfect I am so entirely thrilled for them. The groomsmen totally rocked the shoot, which is what I expected completely from Chris and his witty, creative self! SO incredible to do photos for a couple that loves creativity, one another, and has off the wall ideas that I can roll with…seriously a dream!

Chris and Kim you both are so wonderful! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day, not only did I laugh so hard at times I had tears, you both made me feel so appreciated. Cheers to many many wonderful years together!

{Sawyer}

Oh this session absolutely melted me. Sawyer is at one of my favorite ages to capture, all the little things they are discovering and doing just thrills my heart. I love the chewing and drooling, and especially the cheeks and chubbs that soon will disappear when they start walking. Sawyer was not only a doll, but was so happy and content he made the session a breeze and so much fun! I just love him, and his wonderful momma! :)

Meet our sweet little new niece Kiley. We are SO thrilled to have her here, we are just in love with her.  She is so sweet, and was almost ten pounds at birth so she has lots of chubbs…which i adore! She slept like a champ for our session, I think there is something to be said for those content happy chubby babies!

I am loving capturing newborns, I love details and noticing the little things that often get overlooked. So with newborns I can focus on the fuzz, wrinkles, rolls, and creases. I LOVE it!

*the B family*

I just love this family, and we had such a wonderful time together! We went up by Whiskeytown, I knew there were apple trees everywhere up there and knew it would be a great fall thing to use in the photos. The boys LOVED eating them!  We did an early morning shoot, and i just loved how the water was sparkly and the sun glowing through everything. I am really enjoying doing morning shoots right now! Thank you B family for a wonderful time!!
