week-four

week four. This is a typical after school day, our routine. We play, eat snacks and then begin homework.  Mostly for the younger it consists of reading, lots of reading.

So, one afternoon my youngest was sitting in the chair and the sun from the window was beaming in and around him. I could see and feel the warmth and knew I wanted to snap some shots. As I wandered through the house I found my daughter stretched out reading, and my oldest typing up his report. It was a serene moment, which is not a natural occurrence most eve’s as I try to juggle all the many piles of things to do. So, I sank those moments in deep and took a few frames.

Had a quick little session with our adorable little niece and nephew awhile back. we just love them beyond and back.

Wait until you see Miss Kiley’s chubbs! OH, to die for. I love it SO SO much.

makes you want to just give her a big squeezed doesn’t it? :)

{week3}adventures

Well, yes i am a bit behind in posting this. I have had it done for awhile now and have yet to get around to posting it. I am enjoying savoring these fun moments with my family, i know i will love looking back and remembering.

So, this week is about adventures. We have been exploring new areas and getting OUT every weekend, that is until this last storm hit. It was so so gorgeous for so long, and we really want to share God’s wonderful glory that surrounds us with our chitlins. There are truly so many areas to go right near our home! So, this was the last hike we went on to Brandy Creek falls. It was a gorgeous hike up the hill to see the spectacular falls. Our kids were troopers, it was about a mile and a half uphill there, and they powered through!

If you live in this area get out and explore! I am reminded each time i drive out of town, just how much i love all that surrounds us here in Redding. I think most of us take it for granted!

‘katie&tony’

I was honored to capture Katie and Tony’s wedding day. It was my first wedding of 2011, and it was an absolute gorgeous day! They were married at the Gaia hotel in Anderson CA, and it was exciting for me to scout out areas there, there really is some great architectural details and colors and I love to be inspired by what surrounds me! I had an incredible time with Katie doing pictures before, she is just stunning and a total dream with her gorgeous red hair! (btw LOVE photographing red hair!) She chose an amazing gown, that was completely gorgeous with her skin tone. dreamy!
