{back to school we go}

That time of year again, as we struggle to get in the groove of things. I am so excited that fall is just around the corner, and I can bust out candles and cardigans! My daughter is modeling for me…she makes it so fun! We have been meaning to do a shoot with this dress she is wearing that was my MOM’S that my grandmother made her back in the day…so it just fit perfectly to do a quick little session in the dress with a school theme, and our apple from our tree…so excited to have a mini harvest this year.

Had so much fun spending an eve with the B fam. The girls are adorable and so much fun, i love how their personalities just come out….the joy of shooting children :) AND Mr. &Mrs. B had taken notes of my previous session and were total naturals in front of the camera…awesome! Thank you  B fam for a fun time!

It is always such a huge honor and compliment when I get to capture a family over and over as they grow! I love this little family, and it was awesome to capture their personalities and fun as they are about to welcome there third bundle of joy into the fam. The last time I captured them Brayden was a newborn, it was fun to see him SO big now! His eyes in these shots are just stunning, they draw you in! Thank you W fam cannot wait to meet the new bundle! :)

I have quite a few family sessions to catch up on and blog…it seems to be the year for family happenings. There are two weddings this year, and new babies coming! Very exciting.

So, here is a few of my little brother in law (one of them) and his new bride Rachel. They as of a couple weeks ago are now married, and will be posting a part two of their wedding that was on the beach and gorgeous!

belated 4th…

I know this is late, but I have been a bit busy trying to keep up with it all and really wanted to share a few of our vaca’s this year (yes, that was plural…so awesome that we have been able to have getaways!). This was our first vaca on the 4th of July to the Eureka area. It was probably one of the most gorgeous and warm trips we have had there! We spent a day surfing with dear friends of ours, and then celebrated the 4th with my sis and brother in law who has THE most amazing block party celebration each year! They live in the downtown area in a historic house, and the street lined with craftsman houses and amazing neighbors just takes you back to another era…which i adore!

We had potluck bbq, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and handmade quilts (by one of her amazing neighbors Suzie) that lined the yard to lounge on. It was a real American celebration! We love spending it over there with blankets wrapped around us, fireworks setting off on each street, and the salt air. It was a refreshing get away!!

yes, even Opal got to board….her stance needs a bit of work though.
